tints

I just went to get my windows tinted and the guy said if I wanted them done he would have to keep the car for an entire day. Did everyone who got tints have to do this too? When I got my old accord done I remember it took 45 mins and then I left. He mentioned something about when you open and close the door but I am not really sure what he was talking about.

Never heard of this but I know when my cousin tinted my windows we left my car parked for a day. I will tell you that the tint job was the best that I had gotten done (no bubbles). Did you ask him why?

pretty much all I got from the conversation was that it needed to dry before I took the car. So he told me to come in at 7am and then pick it up in the evening or the next day.

He must be very old fashioned when tinting. Have you seen any of his work? Does he have a heat gun?

it only took them 2hrs to do mine...it maybe because of the window going up and down when you open and close the door.

i think this is why he needed your car for the whole day.. just tell him to unscrew the screw by the door to stop the window from rolling up/down.
