Does anybody know if you put 20% black tint all around. Will that affect the reception to the radio. Considering the antenna is built into the window.

 

It shouldn't unless you use a metallized film. I had Huber Optik (sp?) on my last car. The film had a metal layer and slightly degraded AM reception. FM was fine.

 

I have 5% limo on all windows except the front and haven't had any radio reception issues.

Yes. I have the "better" metalized tint and it had a big effect on my AM reception only. The installer confirmed it when I called the next day to ask what happened to my AM.

does it effect the rear view mirror too? It's cool how it turns greenish blue at night.

The mirror will still dim if there is glare from behind. It uses a sensor on the back side to measure ambient light from outside the car. It compares this to the light from the front sensor (glare from lights behind you) to determine the dimming level.
