im looking for a really good HID...

im looking to upgrade my new 04 with some HIDs... but i want to be street legal as well.. im new to the modding scene and just learning what i can..

ive heard complaints about bulbs burning out after only a few months, so i prefer not to deal with those of course.. so any links to HIDs that either u kno from experience or just heard much about that i can order from would be greatly appreciated.. i dont mind paying a slight premium for higher quality if its worth it in the long run

Are you talking about upgrading your fogs to HID? I'm sure you're aware that your low beams are already HID.

i found these and they look quite nice http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-8...24009762QQrdZ1

okay, so im a bit confused... i researched on the bulb size... and it says D2R for HID headlamps... and H1 for replacable halogen bulbs...

for me to use HID bulbs, do i need a new headlight setup? i dont know if i have the oem hid set or not

stock has the most output, 6000k loses 25% of your output, and it just goes downhill from there. So there aren't really any "upgrade" bulbs if more lighting is what you are after. Upgrade to the 06 headlights for better lighting, or retrofit a set of projectors into your headlights

if your not sure remove the wheel cover and remove the light bulb and see what you got.

If you do have HID i recently purchased 5000k phillips that look a lot better than the stock d2r.

Dont go for the higher temperature HID's, you will be sorry as they have poor light output.

Most people that do that are going for the "blue look", there are other options to try to increase the color-flux of the HID lights to get that exotic HID look you are going for. Visit forums like HIDPlanet.com and you will see it all discussed in depth.

Good luck.
