Removal of Rear Spoiler

Can anyone tell me how to remove the rear spoiler on the 2004 G35 Sedan? I can remove the two nuts that are visable from the trunk, but cannot get to the two plastic bushings that are directly above the rear lights.

Did you try taking the rear lights out? (or maybe you did and that's how you can see the bushings?) I installed mine myself and it mounts with 4 screws, no plastic bushings that I can recall. Really long flathead screwdriver to push them through the top maybe? Hope that helps.

Not sure about the factory installed one. I put mine on myself and it was 4 screws.

Thumbs up

Thanks, but I did take out the back lights to see the plastic bushing. I finally got the spoiler off. There is a two sided tape gasket that holds the rear of the spoiler to the trunk lid at each end. There is also a snap type of fitting that slides into the plastic bushing on each end of the spoiler that unsnaps once the two sided tape is cut away. Bottom line, you just need to gently lift the front of the spoiler away from the car and use a razor to cut the two sided tape as you lift on the spoiler. If anyone needs a picture of the bottom of the spoiler and the snaps on the trunk, please respond and I'll provide one. Success!!!!!
