For people with Vented Hoods...

It's starting to rain where i live and was wondering wat people do when it does rain and your hood vents allow water to go on the motor??? I have a TS style hood and was maybe thinking of trying to design something to detour the water... If i am caught in the rain with the vents open, what will it do to my motor??? Thanks

I'm not sure.... I would probably use painters tape or something to cover it up.

Mine came with rain guards that screws right on to keep the rain out and/or channel it away from the motor.

If I had skills, I would fabricate something to attach on the inside.

It's the authentic Top Secret Carbon Fiber Hood. I just painted it to match the car and left the vents unpainted.

Pix from caskyline's car, same hood:

It comes with detachable rainguards that screws on from the inside.

Well, water will go in your engine bay, but I'm not sure how it will affect it or it may be fine... I've never been in that situation before.

You'll be fine...no rain guards are necessary. Your engine bay will get dirty quicker, but that's about it. No water should be able to get to the intake filter to hydrolock your car.

yes, seibon makes a top secret replica. it can be had for ~$550-$650. the vents aren't quite as deep, tho..
