Well it finally happened, the window motor broke

i was showing someone how my windows go down with the remote last night and the passenger side motor got stuck!!! i was a hour away from home and it was 24 degrees out, talk about ****ty. i have the extended warranty on the car, but i haven't sent the transfer in yet. is there anything i can do in the meantime to get my window up so i can drive the car? thanks.

well here's the results. i'm a dumbass. the window lock was on. ugh. whatever, atleast i don't need to get it fixed

damn that sucks at least you got warrany...i think my pass side windows motor is dying..goes up a bit slow..

If you read his second post, his window lock was on.

And if you are out of warranty there is a DIY on how to fix the window yourself so you don't have to buy a new motor.

Get a remanufactured window motor at Auto Zone if you're out of warranty.
It's $133 with a lifetime warranty and OEM. You'll need the lifetime warranty considering how often the motors break.

i did that once with the window all the way down.. i thought it had gone out as well, since it happened in my old bmw 328i. i was scared to park it anywhere with the window down and anyone have access to it, till I found the button on my door, and realized it was pressed lol
