I put a 05 OEM spoiler on an 06 coupe about a month ago and the bolt/grommet holes were identical (or at least close enough that I could not tell the difference.) The fitment and alignment was perfect and I am extremely pleased with the results.
That being said, I have no first had experience to prove that an 04 ironing board is identical to an 05, or that the reverse swap (05->06 instead of the other way around) has no added complications. As with any modification, take the comments of others to be "likely" not "fact." Before I did my swap, I read every thread that a search for "spoiler" returned (must have been 200+.) In the end, it still wasn't clear, at the time, if fitment was the same. At some point i guess you just have to take the plunge.

Yep, wiring was identical between the two years, using the same wire plug and rubber sealer grommet. My 06 came with a spoiler, so I don't know anything about the 3rd, window light, as I know many who want to go spoilerless->spoiler are curious.
Sin3, I agree completely. The 06 is nice, but it just doesn't flow with the rest of the car. IMO, overall the 06 = bubble, 05 = wedge. I prefer the general wedge look.
