Sorry for resurrecting... jberry, I see you did not remove the fender. How many fender bolts are in the door? I see one at the top and that's it. There's got to be more in the door... two door hinges, but I don't think they go through the fender... do you happen to remember from 2+ years ago?

For anyone attempting this yourself, it's EASY. I replaced both sides myself in less than an hour, didn't even take the hood off (no one around to help). The fenders do not have to come completely off... just follow jberry's notes above.

Remove battery cover
Pop up the wind shield wiper cowl (passenger side. Driver's side doesn't need to be popped up)
One 10mm in the door jamb
4x10mm along the fender
2x12mm just north of the light assemblies

This will allow you to to pull the fender back enough to get to the 2x12mm bolts on the hinge

Once you're to the hinge bolts, have your replacement hinge ready to go, remove the the bolts, and then take off the 2x10mm on the hood. Swap out your hinge and install in reverse order. Only hand tighten the two on the hood.

There is a bit of adjustment that can be done by pushing the hood to either side and north/south... you may need to adjust a bit. Once you're clear of your fenders and your latching correctly, crank down on the 2x10mm on the hood.

Replacing both hinges as we speak

As the title suggests I'm replacing both hood hinges for my 03 g35 coupe. It's looking like the front fenders need to be removed possibly (due to not being able to get to the bottom section of the hinge). Is anyone on here able to shed some light or know of a "do it yourself" video? Input would be very much appreciated ASAP. Thank you guys once again! Sorry I didn't have time to look through the 4 pages because I'm short on time.

Did mine a while back. As mentioned a few post up, the fenders do NOT need to be removed. I just removed the bolts inside the door frame to fender & the top fender lining bolts under the hood. It moves/lifts enough to replace the hood hinges without issues. I did this solo but having an extra set of hands to hold the hood vs balancing on your head would make things easier

Its pretty straight forward in the end!
