I have been looking through thread about painting your grill black and i like the idea. I was wondering if anyone has had any negative experiences with doing the painting yourself. I plan to sand first, use a primer, 7 coats of spray paint, and then 5 coats of clear enamel. If anyone has any suggestions or drawback to doing this job myself please let me know.

Just make sure you take your time with it. As long as your patience and don't rush should turn out nice.
