NRG hood shock - where to get replacement end?

So when my hood shocks bent, it snapped a small piece of my NRG hood shock off. The actual shock is fine but the little metal end that threads onto the shock has a small crack and the pin comes out. I looked on McMaster.com and there are fittings that look just like the NRG ones but I think they maybe too big. Can someone tell me which ones will fit?

I replaced mine with ones from Mcmaster. I got the nylon ones cause my original ones were rusting really bad.

Thanks - can you send me a link to the ones you bought so I can double check the size?

that's what I was looking for. I ordered 2 of these

since they were about .25 inches longer than the ones on the shock now so I would replace both sides and make them even.

If you follow the link, there are 3 types of socket ends. I ordered the 316 stainless steel ones - 10MM ball, M6 threaded end. These shouldn't rust as they are stainless.

I got these.. 9416K86 which are the nylon ones...they look like the stock ones at the ends of the trunk shocks too. Since mine were all rusted they wouldnt come off the ball studs connected to the hood brackets...So I ended up having to completely cut it off and use new Stainless steel ball studs from mcmaster too.

Here are some pics of my setup

It's not as pretty as using the stainless ball ends, but they are easier to remove.

rusty ball and ball socket (couldn't get it apart) with my new stainless ball

Modified stainless ***** with the rusty one

rusty locking pins

Brackets sanded down and holes enlarged to accept the new ball ends

Rustoleum painted satin white brackets

Bracket, socket, and ball at the hood hinge

socket at the fender

all together and working great and rust free

I was little concerned that the bulkier sockets would have some clearance issues but it looks to be all gravy.
