They claim that you can only roll the laminate in one direction they dont fold or bend multiple ways. i dont see why not but thats what the sales rep said.

mmmmm cf roof would be nice indeed. I'm tempted to go get the measurements but if I keep dumping money into this car I'll never get that house. The mod bug bites hard

instead of you taking measurements lets just fine a G35 forum member that lives close to the company and let him/her take the G to the Place and let them get exact measurments and then they can have specs and sell all of us precut roofs. Anyone think im on to something?

maybe if they setup a group buy and people put deposits maybe they could manufacture it with the hole for the sunroof too?

yeah well they can always have a cutout for car with and with out sunroofs, and i think they would be more then happy to do a group buy, they already told me that they would measure and the carbon fiber to the specs of my car. so if we find a member that is willing to help out a few fellow members we can have the company get dimentions of the center trim the door handles, etc etc. and all we have to do is buy it and apply it. someone post a thread asking if anyone live in the Elbridge, New York area.

I called DragonPlate up, they can cut a piece exactly to fit the roof if someone can get the measurements. Estimating they said it would be about 350. The 3M UV film would be 120 more if you dont want permant. They suggest using a paint shop to do a layer of clear coat so it will not yellow and last just as long as your paint. They have had customers do it before and looks great.
In all probably around 500 to do a CF roof.

$500 for a cf roof sticker? I can 100% guarantee that crap will fade and yellow if not peel right off your car. You're better of getting a REAL carbon fiber roof cap from Mastergrade. They just released their G37 roof cap, the G35 is soon to follow. Plus they guarantee their parts won't fade or yellow for the life of the vehicle and it's LESS then $500 (depending on Sunroof or not). This stuff might be good for wrapping interior pieces, but I wouldn't touch that stuff with the outside of my car.

You really think that's pre-preg? I'd LOVE to hear your reasoning behind that. Caron fiber "yellows" for many reasons. One of the main reason is no UV protection, which causes the resin to bake, thus causing a yellow tint to the fibers.

As long as you take it to a shop and clear it, it shouldnt yellow.
