I need your help, those with the infamous hood rub problems...
hey guys, i too have had this problem but you don't have to replace the hinges. it took a while because i had to partially remove both fenders to get to the bolts holding the hinges in place, but all i did was move the hinge on the side that was scraping further down towards the front of the car and aligned my hood by taking it off, centering it and re-tightening the 4 bolts that connect it to the hinges. took me about 2 hours bcuz this was kinda a trial and error project, but now my hood opens and closes perfectly with no scraping =)
** also the fender has 6-7 bolts right under the hood connecting them to the body of the car, and then there is one that you have to get to in the door hinge, this one was the only problem because i had little room to work with and had to use a normal wrench instead of a socket wrench which is much quicker...admittedly i only took the fender off enough to reach the hinge bolts but its not hard, just time consuming
-hope this helps
