black grill advice.

OK here is a Question,

i went to the shop to see my car today...
n asked the guy to paint my Grill to black while at it......

Then he said...the Paint MIGHT come off with power spray etc etc when wash car...
cuz no matter how u sand it..it'll still come off...

then i said i'll think abt it n give him a call tmr...


SO GUYS.....

Did ur black grill color come off???

noo bro the paint doesnt just peel off. sand it down and paint it yourself. such an easy mod and it looks sexy

you'll get the usual rockchips but thats about it

Painted mine about 8 months ago, flat black using duplicolor paint. Might redo mine as I think I want the gloss black this time.

Yeah but Dranom you did the emblem delete which is much cooler haha.

hahaha! its not that hard!
i help do 4 grilles yesterday and after the end of the day pretty much are ready for sanding

What kind of paint was he going to use? It shouldnt come off most of us use spray cans to paint our grills and I havent heard anybody yet say that the paint is coming off. And your getting yours professionally done hmmmm..

+1 on dranom emblem delete

I've had grills painted both myself with spray paint and professionally at a body shop, and there isn't much difference as far as how long the paint lasts. It's bound to get chipped no matter what.

You doing it with bondo or fiberglass.

Some we did with bondo. My grille i did it with fiberglass filler with metal on the middle
