Window Motor or Window Regulator?

I have been having issues with my window for the past few months.
I dont know what if it is the window motor or regulator.

One day I walked to my car to find it half down, with a curious face I rolled it back up. No issues for several days then I started to see the window having alot of trouble going down and making a bit of a noise.

At times banging on the door can get it back up or down.

then it began needing to be focred down and going up was always easy.

now the window became stuck down. So being frustrated I took the door apart, and motor to clean it due to perhaps all the carbon build up.

no solution, stayed down until i tapped the window and came back up.
Now the window works like the several days it first started to bug out.

Sometimes it will get stuck , but waiting a few minutes usually gets it solved. Going down still has trouble but for the most part does it on its own.

I do not know what the problem is.
Window motor or regulator?

I've recently been having issues w/ my window motor too... It seems to be a common problem among 04-05s.. I've searched and found some random info.. I think it's just a problem we're going to have to live w/.. Some people are on their 5th or 6th window motor..

Mine will not go down at all sometimes, and then when I stop and start the car again, it'll work just fine.. Sometimes when I let it back up, it'll go all the way up then down half way when I let the button go.

It's POSSESSED..

yupper... that's what I've been reading.. It's the fact that the motor was built w/ no vents for the the carbon fillaments to fall out.. So they cake up the brushes inside the motor.. The only way to truly fix it is to remove the motor, clean it out, regrease it, and then put it back.. But the build up will eventually happen again.. That's all just from researching on here... There's no "real" fix to this that's permanent.. you'll have to continue doing this as Nissan never made a replacement motor for this w/ vents.. Even buying a new one will eventually fill up again..

No I just bought it with 36K, but the original owner bought it from a dealer that is a client of mine so I had them print me out the service history for the car.

yeah.. it will eventually happen to yours.. I don't really let my windows down a lot, and it eventually happened to me.. bought mine w/ 24k and by 46k it was doing it.. I believe in AC, not really letting the window down much.. But it got me anyway.. However, mine was never replaced that I know of... Good luck w/ your new one.. It's a pain when it starts acting janky.
