I went with 15%, cause when you get down below that, the difference in being able to see out goes up, outside looking in is about the same.

pros:
looks great
real stealth feeling (especially with a black interior, nobody can tell you're in there)
keeps the car cool (especially black leather!)
reduces UV to keep the interior in good shape

cons:
windshield tint is illegal (nobody in TN cares, but CA would be a different story)
in some places tinting the front side windows is illegal
front window tint will fail a yearly inspection for registration
night visibility reduced
You have inspections for registration? They just send me a letter and tell me to pay money.

There's differences between city and county here where I live unfortunately If I lived 1 mile up the street, I wouldn't have to have my car inspected, lame huh.

Cons:

If the shop does a good job it looks stupid.
If the shop does a bad job it looks ridiculous.

anyone know how good a 30% on the driver+ passenger windows would look against the dark leather interior? I had 20% all the way around (except windshield) on my old lancer, and it had grey interior..it was PERFECT...very dark at night and dark in the day...I'm just worried 30% might look too light..?

Pros -
Obvious ones (heat rejection, sun light glare, privacy, and aesthetic appeal)

Cons -
Some visibility issues depending on darkness of tint. I have 10% and it's not bad for me.

Cops, I've had mine for three weeks and got pulled over yesterday. I had the front windows down and all when passed him. Cop decided that in PA it's illegal to have any window on a car tinted. So I talked to a couple of my buddies (Police Officers) and it seems I just caught a d-bag on a bad day he was having. So I now have a fix-it ticket within 20days. If not fixed within time period I’ll have two fines equaling over $200. Not sure what I’m going to do quite yet.
