Spray gun
Thinking about picking up a hvlp gun. Anyone recommend a good gun or one they have personally used before. Looking to spend between 100-200 on it and its going to be for personal use not professional. Any input would be appreciated.
Not sure on your local codes, but just about everywhere is switching to water based paints with low VOC. I suggest you look for guns tailored to water-borne paints, they should have an all stainless contruction. Ideally you'd want at least a couple of guns so you dont mix heavy primers with your thin colors and clears, or at least one gun for primer/color and one gun for clears. For personal use though, you can probably get away with one gun. I bought a cheap two gun kit for a little over $200. I suggest checking out harborfrieght or the spray gun depot
yeah habor freight has some cheap ones...The one i have is from finish line and wasn't that cheap. Im picky about the finish and ultimately a good finish depends on the gun as well. SATA guns are the pros choice.
