So my friend crashed my G's rear with his 128i, he gave me the money to fix it and since i was planning to give my G a body kit anyways, i might as well use the money to replace the rear bumper now. The damage is huge, if it was a tiny scratch i wouldn't be replacing bumpers. The whole entire bottom right corner is dented inwards and a hole has been created a little higher.

An OEM rear bumper is around $250CAD, full replica kenstyle is $400CAD with rear bumper nearly done fitting. I don't like the front Kenstyle bumper, but i love the rear, the side is great when it matches with the rear. I don't have the money to install a front lip (planning to sell the front kenstyle and buy a front lip) nor the side skirts at the moment. But since the whole entire body kit is only $150 more, and i would be keeping the side skirts, i might as well just get the kit and sell the front.

But my main question is: I'm not sure how low the Kenstyle rear is, so i'm not sure if it would hang lower than the side, which would look awfully weird. Anyone with info on this?

youll need aftermarket sides to make the kenstyle rear look good. it will be a lot lower than the stock sides.

 

if you can get a full kenstyle kit, go for it!

well, the kenstyle sides should be lower than the stock front. it won't flow very well.

Yeah it'll look weird and yes it'll hang lower than the side. That's what "VA 04 g35" was explaining on the post above.

 

Any suggestions then? It will cost around $400CAD for the kit + $1200CAD to install/paint.
I have around $800CAD to spend atm, should i wait and drive around with a nasty dent?

 

the Kenstyle rear is way too aggressive for stock front and sides... tomorrow ill try and get a pic of a G in my neighborhood that is stock except the kenstyle rear... it looks very very weird

It's just going to be like this for 1 month though, then i can get a front lip installed. I can probably get the side skirts installed while i install the rear too.
