Gas Gauge not working

Gas Gauge not working
The gas gauge on my '04 sedan reads about 1/4 tank lower than actual level. For example, when the tank is full, it says it is only 3/4 full. I just bought the car last Saturday and didn't notice it at the time. Is there an easy fix or way to recalibrate this?
Also, the light on the clock is not very bright. The owner's manual has great instructions for replacing most of the bulbs in the car, but not this one. Any suggestions?

yea this is a common problem... mine does this too... its not a problem with the gauge ... most of the time its a problem with the tank/valve that doesnt let the tank fill to capacity
mines been doing it too, so ive been searching for answers... i havent tried keeping the nozzle halfway out yet, but I will do so the next time I fill up

There is a fairly common issue on the G35 regarding the sending unit for the fuel level.
I believe there is even a TSB for certain year / production range models.
if your car is still under warranty take it in to a local dealer (OR us here! ) to have it looked at. If not, the only true way to fix the issue is NORMALLY by replacing the sending unit. There are two in the car's tank so you should still get it diagnosed before throwing money at it.
and as always we've got these in stock at discounted prices if anyone ends up needing one!
