Opinion on CF lip of a DoriLuxe trunk

Hey guys! i need your opinions. I just got my DoriLuxe trunk for a coupe with a CF lip but im not sure how to do the CF. Should i leave the CF as is as a big rectangular strip or should i have the ends painted so that the CF gets pinched toward the center?

Here are the pics, how the CF is now:

my bad rendition of the pinched ends with MSPaint lol.

Does other IP coupes here have this trunk with a CF lip? could you guys post pictures so i can decide how to finish the lip? thanks a bunch!

i ended up painting over mine... but there's a very light "ghost" effect at certain angles/lighting.

hm. well i dont wanna paint over all of the CF, i want it to show somehow cause it'll defeat the purpose of paying 100$ more for the CF lip :/.

if you can get a body shop to blend in paint with the edge of the cf that would look good. but it's hard to make it work, since the cf area is pretty small to work with

I don't like the "rectangular" look. I think it would look sweet if you went with the "pinched" look. I think it would flow better that way.

the pinch looks way better. Another thing you could do is ip is a three stage color. Its white, pearl, then clear. You could have them put the pearl over the carbon fiber before they clear it. That way you would only see the carbon fiber look when you were up on the car.

hm that's a good idea. i was also thinking of painting both the top and bottom but leaving the very tip/edge carbon fiber.
