That's what I'm doing. I got black overlay on my roof too. I'm planning on painting some of my hood though to accent the vents. I will post pics when I get my trunk on.

Yea, they charge around 100 for clear.

If you are going to repaint it you don't need to really, if you are planning on keeping it cf you should so it lasts longer.
