Re: Interior light replacement

I just got back from my car, and these are the lights I found which I would like to replace.

Trunk = 1 light
Door Sills = 2 lights (one in each side)
Glove = 1 light (I might not even change this cuz its impossible as far as I know to change this one easily)
Vanity Mirror = 1 (this one is even worse than glove, I took the white plastic covering to see the bulb, and it seems it is soldered)

As to what map and dome lights are, I dont know. I suppose Dome are the interior lights and Map are the ones that lit the dashboard?

UPDATE:

I just replaced the lower glove box lamp on my 04 G35x sedan with this offering from VLEDS... direct fit, great illumination with a clean white light! It fit perfectly into the bulb socket... no muss.. no fuss.. took like 5 minutes to do it!

http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED/G...-p6622390.html

it was $9 for a pair.. so you have a spare. check it out if you're interested.. great turn around time... 2 days from Washington State to Ohio. (USPS)

I'll have pics later today...<!-- google_ad_section_end --> <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

i was looking through v-led. and there is so many styles of LED lights. i was looking at replacing the courtesy door light, dome light, or map light, and the license plate light. and possibly the light in my headlight (the one that is in that strip)

but with all the choices of light, how do i know what fits. for example, i was looking at the license plate lights, and there apparently 168. lookingn through, there are ones with one LED, 6angled LED and a few other different ones.

what am i looking for

The glove box must be removed to change the bulb , four screws and then pull forward to release the platic clips, I would change the bulb in the upper box at the same time you can access it easily with the glove box off.

I agree.. since it's such an undertaking to get the glove box stripped down to get to the light.. you'll have most of the stuff out to get to the upper glove box... might as well...
I used these leds from VLEDS.. work great!

Upper: http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED-B...-p6298403.html

Lower: http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED-B...-p6622390.html

the upper has two side-firing leds and a top firing led (3 total) so it fills the compartment better since it socket side mounts in the glove box.
