Nismo body kit questions***

Hi guys, I'm totally new to this forum, and the first thing i would like to say is that this is a really great and informative forum.

Time for my question,
RE: G35 Coupe
What is the difference between the Nismo side skirt and the stock side skirt in terms of appearance? AFAIK, a stock g has a side skirt too right (I'm looking at the M6 Aero Package)?

Secondly, what exactly is the Nismo under finisher? Is it like a half rear bumper to fit those two nice exhausts?

At last, I would like to clarify myself on the difference between a Front Bumper and a Front Lip Spolier. My guess is a front lip spolier is a half spolier to be mounted underneath the stock bumper. Am I close?

Thanks for all your time guys
A bow to all the seniors here!

The NIsmo side skirts has these "ridges" that stick out a bit further than stock on the ends of it. I plan on getting this. Hopefully it'll flow with my front Ings lip spoiler. The stock side skirts are the splash guards.

You are correct on the lip spoilers. Lip spoilers attach to your stock front bumper. Now, front bumpers are replacements for your stock front bumpers. (ie Greddy, Impul, Kenstyle, Top Secret)

The NIsmo under finisher is actually qute "LESS" than a half bumper. It's just that piece between the two exhaust. There are ridges in these as well to diffuse airflow.

Thanks for the quick reply.
So if I get a Nismo side skirt, will that REPLACE or ADD-ON to the stock side skirts (splash guards)?

Ok, I get it.
How about a half spoiler like this:

I'm guessing it is add-on?

Man, I'm sry that I'm firing questions on here like this, but I hope you guys don't mind.
What's the difference between these two sides by Ings? The material?
SIDE STEP PAIR/ HYBRID AERO
SIDE STEP PAIR/ FRP

First one is around 100 dollars more.

EDIT: Just researched on this forum and found out that FRP is fiberglass.. but what's Hybrid Aero?

thx guys

man u guys are confusing this guy...

for the nismo sides and stock sides, here are some pics

stock..

nismo..

yes all g35 have stock sideskirts. and some have the optional splashguards

optional splashguards

the nismo rear under finisher is not really a bumper but a cosmetic piece that attaches to your stock rear bumper. and yes it goes near the exhausts.

you are right about the front bumper and the front lip spoiler... pretty much

the nismo sideskirts are REPLACEMENT pieces. you will remove your stock sideskirts and install the nismo ones in its place. they are made out of fiberglass so if you scrape the bottom of your car often you may want to think twice before getting these.

the difference between the hybrid aero and the regular aero is that the hybrid is more flexible without gaining too much weight. iv'e heard its more durable also. but again it is still fiberglass.

thx so much for the clarification wick. yes, you read my mind, i was getting confused.
The 1st picture doesn't look stock to me in terms of the front bumper lip.

Will the nismo side skirt replacement be bigger and extend more to the ground to make the car look "lower"?

Is Fiberglass lighter or carbonfiber?

What's this?

the first pic is the data systems front lip but the car has stock sideskirts.

yes i would imagine that the nismo sides would hang slightly lower that stock.

the weight difference between fiberglass and carbonfiber is actually hard to say. it all depends on how it is manufactured. it can get pretty technical so lets just say its pretty much the same weight or at least not enough to make a difference. .. if you really want to know just ask.

the pic is of the nismo rear spoilers or rear caps.

Thanks once again.
Everything sounds good and is making sense to me right now thanks to all the effort from fellow forum members.

For the nismo rear spoilers or rear caps, do those just goes to the rear 2 corners of the car?

you can call those rear diffusors as well they are located on each side of the rear bumper - personally I love the design because it's very special, but a little bit expensive

according to this past thread, the nismo lip doesn't exist, only a nismo front bumper exists. Can someone clarify on that please?
