Help with gap on K2 Remix front bumper
Over the weekend, I installed a Poly K2 Remix front bumper from AI on my '04 AT Coupe. It is almost an exact fit, aside from 1 thing that is bugging me: There is a gap on both sides, where my hood comes down into my bumper. I was thinking this is from the grill, because I don't have the OEM grill, but it was also there when I had the K2 Fiberglass. I guess without pictures it will be hard to explain, but I can't be the only one who had this issue. To try to explain it better: there is a gap on both sides, where the bumper meets the hood. If the grill was gone, it would be where the hood and bumper would meet on both sides. The area is close to the headlights. I will upload a picture when I get some time, but haven't had any lately. Anyway, if anybody knows what I'm talking about, or how to remedy the issue, please let me know. I had to remove the foam bumper support to install the fiberglass K2 that I had, maybe that is the cause?
EDIT: Sorry about the confusing post guys. So, I have uploaded a few pictures of the area. Basically, when I got the car, it had the OEM front bumper. It was in disrepair, and I needed a new one. However, the OEM bumper sat lined up perfectly. I changed out the bumper for the Fiberglass K2 front bumper, and that is when I saw it didn't line up perfectly. I had a body shop try to fix it, and it still didn't sit right. I decided I would try a different bumper, and found the Poly K2 Remix. This one lined up perfectly, aside from these 2 gaps. The same gaps were on the Fiberglass K2 bumper. I thought maybe it was the core support was pushed down, but the original bumper sat perfectly. Any ideas would be taken into consideration, and maybe tried out.

When I took the previous one, that had the same gap issue, they couldn't fix it. Now, this was not with the Poly version, just the fiberglass version, but I don't know if they can fix it. I also don't want to pay for something and it end up like I installed it myself.
I don't know anybody personally, besides the person I bought it from. I did however see this installed on his G with no issues. If anybody sees this that has the K2 Remix from Arch Industries, please let me know if this is common. It looks ok, but I want it to be perfect. lol.

A decent body shop would tell you, it would cost you more to fix than the bumper is worth. This is why you dont buy cheap replicas.

I think it was more of an understanding that they knew I had a certain amount to spend, and couldn't do it for that price. I am fully confident in these guys' competence, they have done work on my other cars, even straightening a frame. I'm not sure this was a cheap replica, if I recall correctly, this is one of the better ones out. The fact that the previous owner had it lined up perfectly tells me it is achievable. Hell, maybe my core support is pushed down, and the previous owner just made it look right before sale. I see a gap on my grill too now, that I must have overlooked before, but now that I look at it with this K2 Remix bumper, that might be the issue. If worse comes to worse, I am getting paint in less than a month, and will probably have them check the support and lines for displacement while they have it.
On another note, the guy I got the Fiberglass K2 bumper had pictures posted of it on his with the same gap. I'm just gonna have to tell my body shop when we go to paint, to make it look like it rolled off the lot, even if it costs a little extra.
I was referring to the area above the passenger side headlight, looks like the hood is hitting the fender and you could easily tell the the pieces don't line up. And if the height of the hood is off than adjust the latch assembly, its only two bolts.
Ohh, I see what you are talking about, it's just that picture. I will try the hood latch. Thanks for the advice.
