Merry Christmas everyone.
So I owned my G for a while and always wondered what do those 2 switches do on the seat control (6MT so manual recline) the 2 switches that look like window switches.
I scrolled through 5 pages in search and couldnt find anything.
My switches do nothing so thats why I am asking. If it does something then I might replace it. Ill attach a picture below.
Second question I have is, do the full auto seats (electric recline) work in the standard ones? Looking to swap a 06 seat into mine if it does work and the memory seats save too.
Exactly, four separate motors in the driver seat, part of the "8 way adjustable seat" entire seat moves forward/back, seatback tilts/reclines, front of the seat can raise/lower, rear of the seat can raise/lower.
What year is your G, I think the 8 way power seats weren't an option until 2005.
I see this is a pretty old thread, but.....
I have a 2004 with the exact same switches. One didn't work the day I bought it. When I got home I sprayed WD-40 into it. A bit ghetto, but next day it worked like a charm.
I try to "exercise" the switches at least once a month. I believe if coffee or beverages get spilled, it dirties the contacts. You may have to remove yours and open and clean.
I wouldn't really recommend WD-40 but some plastic safe electrical contact cleaner is fine to spray into switches like that (literally what it's made for).
