Sorry for not checking into this more yet. I have been very busy with other things and am getting close to finishing my almost 1000SF basement. The basement takes precedence and a long time since I am doing all of the work myself.

The mirrors will probably be a fall/winter project for me. If someone wants to check on the part numbers in the 5 or 6 posts up, that would be helpful since that's the hold up right now.

For an alternative solution (still in development) check out: https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-video-electronics/89893-can-your-car-do-official-teaser.html

If this product is completed it will provide a much cheaper and easier solution to the lack of auto mirror tilting.

Man, I have been wondering why my car did not come with this ever since day one.

My buddy with a 3 Series Beamer always says, "Damn, I thought your car was supposedly my car's competitor."

Then I rip on him in the canyons.

Sad that my 05 Coupe doesn't come with this feature or the memory seat feature for both sides...especially having to deal wtih a baby car seat in the back.

Hopefully you guys get this all sorted out. Thanks for the efforts.

Hey, I too share the same issues regarding the lack of tilting. the most annoying thing is that I always back my car into a spot for the night, hence the mirrors are tilted downwards. The next morning, I get in and go, and half-way down the road when i wanna change lanes, the mirrors are down and I cant even assess my blind spot. I HATE when that happens, which is why I would want this feature the most. My roommates 3 series tilts but he never backs his car into spots...what a waste!

I just thought of this workaround last night (dunno if it was already mentioned in the thread):

I dont know what the option packages are on the other models (autos), but if you have memory seats and no mirror tilt, just use memory position 1 as your main preference. Then, set the mirrors downwards, but keep your seat the same. Then program this as 2. Whenever you want to back in, hit 2 and the mirrors will go down. Hit 1 when you're done and want the mirrors back up again.

I did not think that mirrors move with the seat settings. I thought it was only the steering wheel and the seats... I will check that out later when I get in the car.

?

This is a random question but my passenger mirror's bracket has a big crack on it. I don't want to talk about it much. But I was wondering if there was anyplace I could go to buy the bracket (black part) of the mirror only?

The mirror itself works perfectly fine, and the housing has no damage. It's just the bracket. That's why I don't want to buy a whole new mirror because the bracket part is just plastic and shouldn't be too pricey. The dealership only sells the entire mirror itself and I believe it was around 350 so I was looking for a cheaper source.

Sorry but the mirrors on the '04 do not move with the seat memory, unfortunately.

Did anything ever come of this? This would be an awesome mod. I only care about the tilt for parking. the fold in when parked is cool too but I think the tilt would be the mose usefull.

I definitely want the tilt down...right now whenever I parallel, I always manually tilt my mirror down...sooo annoying.

I would really like to have power folding side view mirrors too.

KPTECHNOLGIES...do something guys!!!
(also hook up the side view mirrors to the memery system)

Yea I really would like to see this mod. I too curbed my rim (got it fixed tho) and now I always tilt my mirror down manually before parallel parking.

Question

Dudes, I went to the parts department yesterday, but they could not help me so I am going to check with the service department.

Can someone please send me the service/repair and parts manuals for the 2003~2004, 2005 , and 2006 models so I can check the parts for everyone?
