I Can't Stand the Clearance Light...Any way to disconnect?

I cannot stand the clearance light...it does not match any of the other lights on the headlight or the sidemarkers...is there an easy way to disconnect just the clearance light? I would rather not have it at all...Anyone have info on how to get to the connection and which connection to un-plug?

Just take the bulb out.

1. if you want to take it out do a search on the boards
2. you can make it match with PIAA bulbs

There are plenty of posts in the MOD section that deal directly with this issue. Once you find the perfect set-up you'll def like the look.

it's not too hard, ujust gotta jack up your car and take a couple screws out, flip open the panel and reach in to disconnect the bulb

if you don't want to jack it up just try going through the wheel well..i'm assuming you can access the light by just detaching some of the pop out screws in the wheel well...just remember to turn your wheel to the inside so you have clearence to pull out the molding

dont need a jack to do it...simply turn the steering whel in the completely opposite way from the side you want to remove the bulb from....remove the inner fender paneling and voila! personally i love the clearance light though.....

I'm glad you all are talking about this, b/c I was just thinking about it last night.

Personally I would like it to match the *AMBER* aka Orange parking lights and marker lights.

What in the world is this "Clearance Light" supposed to be function wise??

Is it really that difficult to change out the clear bulb to an amber bulb or a PIAA bulb? (Jacking the car up /or/ turning the wheel inside and yanking parts of the car off to get to it.

YIKES!!

Anyone have some pictures of "How To"??

In the other car forum that I belong to we have a "HOW TO" section where members can post detail lists (with or without pictures) of how to do mod's. Really helps the non-car "Savy" people out. If I do any Mod's, I plan on doing a full write up with Pictures. We all should do that or try to. Really helps out!

That's a great idea! It took me several hours but I managed to create a section called "FAQ & DIY" short for Frequently Asked Questions and Do It Yourself. Thanks for the idea WhiteonWheat, I hope it meets with your approval.
