Several years back, Wings West was up for sales, and VIS's owners bought it. VIS is huge now, there's a really interesting story behind them. They are started by 5 brothers and sisters, their initial goal was to put all the other companies out of business by a price war and conquer the whole industry, which never worked, but made the industry much less profitable. Carbon fiber hoods never used to be this cheap before they screwed themselves.

VIS even put Abflug out of business. They certainly aren't well-liked by other companies.

 

I have a question. Steve (G352NV) What was with the Top Secret hood that started all this, since I cant read the orginal story I'm curious. I know a TS company rep stated somewhere on here that Seibon hoods are/will turn yellow over time, but I cant seem to find that post, or can I find anyone who has one thats had that problem, and theres a big $ difference. I'm not cheap, but I like to make my dollars stretch. Later

This is a very intresting topic. To put things in relation to prices. Japan pricing structure is very different than here. In the US you have an avg of 3 hands that the product goes through, the importer, the wholesaler, & then the retailer. In japan the price structure works like this, and this is why pricing has to be high for them to survive:

I don't know who removed it but I can understand why a mod would remove it. From what I read, your information could have been posted in a more appropriate place on the forum. (in one of the two existing hood threads in this forum, perhaps) As I said though, I had absolutely nothing to do with it and I do not appriciate being called out on something I had no knowlege of. Have you even tried asking the mods who removed it and why? If you had PM'd me regarding this, I could have told you that I had nothing to do with it.

Next time you consider making a thread such as this, be sure you know what you're talking about. False accusations and attacks on a public message board is considered defamation.

Why should the thread be moved??? TS was the creator of the thread and posted where it was appropriate. 2NV posted a reply that was not appropriate to that forum and an Admin or Mod removed 2NV's post. The thread is not closed either.

 

TS you can think what you want, Im done with YOU and you can take that how you want. Im so pissed right now I cant even think straight! What I said was the truth so call it what you want! Your hood was OK at best and the person that put the hood on was VERY happy they were painting it to cover the mistakes. NOW about that fact that I shouldnt have posted in your thread. Is that right?
