i have an 04 g35 coupe with rear spoiler..... just recently noticed that third brake light on rear panel does not light up when the brakes are applied. Is this normal??? TIA

Shouldn't it be off anyways? I mean the spoiler has a brake light so that would look kind of weird if they both went on.

Fold down the backseat and pull the third brake light out of the window and plug it back in using the wiring harness.

i bought my G without a spoiler but had the dealer install the spoiler the next day. they did a great job (charged me an arm and a leg, though) but did NOT disconnect the original 3rd brake light. i think it's just down to reconnecting it, like jschmillen said.

You guys should really disconnect your 3rd brake light if your spoiler already has one. It looks retarded to follow a car with a spoiler w/brake lights and then see the 3rd brake light come on too. If your car came from the factory with a spoiler, your rear deck won't even have the cut out for the 3rd brake light.

If order a car with a spoiler, can you request to have the 3rd brake light removed completely?

If the car comes from the factory with a spoiler, the third brake light will not exist.
