Thumbs up GroundingGear™ Activated Carbon HEPA Filter

Finally installed Gordgee's In Cabin Micro Filter... Active carbon HEPA - excellent quality, perfect fitment! Installation was cake (thanks to DaveO having previously done one or more)...

Initial impressions: Let me start by saying - If the dealer tells you don’t need to replace, do it anyway. As much as I appreciated my dealer service not wanting me to waste money, I had a musky/dusty smell with the fan on without AC - with the AC on and air recirculation in the cabin it was fine. I thought it was something I would have to deal with... since I have a couple of air purifiers at home with active carbon I was anxious to try Gordgee's since I've heard goof things about his products.

I'm happy to report that the musky/dusty smell is gone! The air smells fresh and relatively clean. To state it simply, it's definitely worth the purchase and easy install!

Attached is a pic of the filthy OEM filter after about 22K miles. I should have changed when the smell started. BTW – the filter should be completely white (in case you didn’t know).

Thanks Gord

Odd. My dealer's complimentary 24k service replaced my cabin air filter at 15k. They said it was part of the recommended service.

Right, that’s what the service manual says... what's odd is that your dealer gave you a complimentary service at 24K... the regular scheduled maintenance intervals are 22,500 then 26,250 - there isn’t even a 24K maintenance schedule.

But free is free - you are one of the few (if not only) that would get a free cabin filter change.

Igor,

Contact Gordgee for the filter. You need to remove the glove compartment assembly.

i went ahead and bought one from www.g35parts.com - it turned out more expensive, but seems easier than sending MO to Gorgee, no offence there buddy!

Perfect! Thank you for finding this.
I'd also be interested in finding out how the install went.

well, i've been trying for 2 days to pick it up from DHL - the courier keep taking it out for delivery, despite my requests to hold it for pick up. i'm having her (yes, a woman courier, not that it means much) deliver it saturday, at a 15 minute window on my request.

How long does Gordgee's filter last? Any pics or a webpage describing his product?
