Why is my interior turning brown...???

yea... that does look like smoke stains but normally... the staining would also affect the plastic buttons and anything else in the line of smoke.

PPL who are having this problem aren't smokers...it seems like this certain area heats up easily and causes the aluminum to tarnish easily...i dont smoke and am really ticked that i have this problem

Wow seems a few people have this problem. I just posted on the other thread too, but...

I've had my X for just over 2 months now. I actually noticed mine is turning yellow too! AND I'm not a smoker! Let me know what happens with the dealer when you go there.

I don't remember for sure, but isn't there a light that turns on inside the assh tray when you open it? If you leave your Ash Tray open all the time, the light will always be on, and it's probably heating up the aluminum and making it tarnish like that.

took me bout 9 months...that light behind the ashtray i think is always on regardless if the ashtray is open or not...maybe thats causing the problem...please keep us notified chanycrazy

i just came back from 30min driving...yea..when i touch it...it is warm...
not hot though...
Audio display screen area is all warm...
I will stop by dealership after shcool today...
