HELP-Nissan Aluminum Pedals
HELP-Nissan Aluminum Pedals
Oh my freakin' word...I was working in Dallas the past two weeks and visited Grubbs Infiniti on my way home (sweet place and a great group of guys in parts!!) to pick up some clear corner lights and aluminum pedals for my 6MT...
Well, I've swapped motors in vehicles and not cussed as much as I have trying to get the break and clutch pedal on...I got the "how to" off of FreshAlloy.com, but so far, they still don't wanna go.
Anyone have any hints, suggestions, tricks, etc. that they'd care to share about how to get these lil buggers on there?
Oh yeah...sorry for not having posted in so long...the oil industry has been bouncing and I haven't even seen my house in over a month...

Hey foremost, been to Grubbs as well (was on a business trip), great place, fun people...
The only trick is, keep at it! They're a bitch to get on, but believe me, they will go on....

Yeah I did mine as well, put the clutch and the brake into some hot boiled water, than try put them on with an wet towel or something like that. Come on I got them on and I am only 17 years old.

I've done it on two different cars now...
If you have a heat gun, warm them up to the point that they are hot to the touch and then run to the car
If you put the tops on first it's easier.

putting in boil water is not as helpful for me. By the time I take them out to put it on, it cools down. What i did was i took some tire shine spray and sprayed the back with it. After about 1 minute of letting them soak in, i just slipped it on without any screwdriver or tools. Good luck on ur install.

Re: HELP-Nissan Aluminum Pedals
also use some WD-40..if I had to do it again., i could install each pedal in less than 5 mins
install the top first then use a flat head screw driver to peel the bottom rubber in
