I don't really move my seat settings around or use the seat heaters so that latter part is not a big deal for me.
Corbeau's are really good for the money. they are your standard "racing seat" that really don't differ greatly from the recaro's and sparco's. You wont be able to retain any of your power functions with any aftermarket seats. Also unless you spend major dough you are stuck with cloth for aftermarket seats as well.

I have also been looking at the corbeau seats cause of the support and headroom.
It's decently priced not overpriced as some other seats to do the same thing.
It also has wide size for those of us who are little thick around the belt.
I would contact corbeau. You, with all of your mods will probably be able to get them for free. corbeau is great with hooking people up with sponsorships. A couple of my buddies were sponsored by them when we were still in college a couple of years ago.

Thumbs up still room...

just installed the seats, and there is AMPLE headroom. note that i also removed my headliner which helped, but even with it on, i don't think there'll be any problems.

Looks sick man. Are you keeping the interior bare for a roll cage or something? Looking forward to seeing that if you put one in. Don't forget 5-point harness and harness bar for the icing on the cake w/ those seats.

yeah, i'm getting either a roll bar or cage (depending on my funds) welded in. with these, i won't need a harness bar. 5-point harness is mandatory for what i want to do

some think i am crazy, but oh well. the car is a few months away from being paid off (like, 5) and it hasn't been a daily driver for about a year, so i figure, why not

i know that corbeau recently lost their FIA homolgation, so until i need a seat with it, i'll stick with this model as it meets the regs for what i'm trying to do. the forzas (or anything "tube and cloth" type) do not. when i'm rich/famous/sponsored/good, i'll move up to the sparco or recaro, but not yet...i'm poor/unknown/what's a sponsor/not that good

I dunno.. every time I see some Bride/Takata combos, it makes me think poorly of Corbeau's. They just seem kind of dull. I don't know what it is exactly. Maybe it's just the flashy image of Brides and Sparcos. There has to be a reason for the $1200 difference in price though, is there?

Bride Stradia's are about $1600 vs. Corbeau FX1's for $569 (custom color selection) or just about $350 in black.

That and it seems every time I see Corbeau's, they are in some rice rocket or some ghetto ride. Every time I see Bride or Sparco, they are in a nice show/drift/race car... I guess they just might be doing a better job at marketing to the right people in the right ways.

Still up in the air for me... maybe time will tell what I end up getting, but those Black w/ red mid-section Corbeau FX1's are sexy w/ black 5-point harness.

So after a year how do you like them? How is the headroom with helmet? Did you get the bracket from Corbeau and how well did it fit and how well does it work, from what I can gather it is adjustable (front to back).

I was thinking about going with the Sparco Evo2 but the Corbeau, for the price, seems much more logical but I'm worried about how they hold up.

updates?

I have had my Corbeau seat for about two years and no problems at all with it. Excellent quality. I daily drive and track the car so I have worked the seat pretty well.

^I had two in my Maxima and loved them. They felt great and I felt much better driving around in them. Great seat for the money imo.

I ran the CR4 seats in my RSX, build quality was crap after comparing them to my friends' sparco / recaro seats. Had to switch them out after a couple months.
