Question air flow thru cabin filter

I am installing new cabin filter in an '06 G35 coupe. The Nissan filter in there now nor the new filter have directional arrows, just the word Nissan which on the old one is upright and facing the rear of the car.

Just to be sure the old filter was not put in wrong and that by copying it I put the new in wrong, does the air flow thru the filter from top to bottom or bottom to top?

Does the word Nissan indicate the airflow is top to botton?

Does the word Nissan need to be up right and facing rear of the car or the opposite?

I hear that if the install is incorrect the A/C-heater doesn't work as well as it should!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
