removing the shift ****.. possible?
hey i was wondering if any one had instrucitons on how to remove the shift ****... i got a real cool one from street glow that glows a different color everytime u shift but i dont even know if my stock one comes off... i dont want to rip the leather around and from what i feel on the **** i dont feel any part that could spin off but im probably wrong..

yea hahaha.. i got it removed at a car shop.. that **** was a pain in da butt we had to spin the top part (the shift ****) while holding onto the shift stick(dont know what its called but that metal rod that holds the shift **** under)...
that **** was stuck like a **** my oem shift **** is all scraped up from the removal process but my new one is beautiful i will post up pics

ok so i have an 05... and let me tell you.. .i poped off the center console etc... clamped the shaft w/ a vice and tried to take off the ****... OH MAH GAWD>>. that thing is ON there... im gonna take it to a dealer and have em do it... my polished ti arc **** is just chillin @ my pad...
oh im sorry let me explain better... i had to use TWO vice grips... one to hold on to the shift ****.. and the other to hold the shaft... and ummm i couldnt do it... had to call Beebo the 300 pound mechanic to take that thing off.. and even he had a hard time....
