After swapping the 350z for a G35coupe I miss my Navi!! Has any member added the stock navi to a non navi G?

I was thinking I could find a stock unit and install it. Is there a harness there?
Does anyone has any advice. Where to find, issues that will arise, ect...

I want to keep the G as stock as possible, therefore an aftermarket is out of the question.

There would be more involved in both cost and modification to install the OEM nav than there would be to put a double din kit in, then take it out later on. OEM navi is more than double what a good DD unit costs and it is also inferior in many ways and will be a pain in the butt to get installed.

You could mount a portable GPS in the center cubby above the climate controls. I did and just open it for when I need it. It's also much easier and cheaper. All I did was internally wire the power line and an external GPS antenna. It all looks stock when the door is closed.

 

i have a 05 g35 that already has navi in it but not installed it came with the dvd drive and screen in it but its not installed for some reason. what can i do to make it functional?? previous owner bought it and put it in but never installed

 

This might be too obvious, but Did it come with the navi disk?

If not, then threre is a buy who sells the disks here in the forums.
Use the search and you can find out who it is... I can't remember his sn right now.

 

Dose anyone know where on this forum i could possibly find a 05 stock navi for a 05 g35 X sedan?

 

Why not just get aftermarket navi?
