Add CF to interior HELP
I just bought some yards of 3M Carbon Fiber Sheet. This stuff is great, looks amazing. (one of the pics shows the comparison of real cf and the 3m sheet)
So the reason I bought it is because the lining from the sides in the back is coming off ( the part with perfurated leather). So I'll be ripping it off and adding the willow cf to that.
I'll be using the black cf for the the accents in the front (shown in the pic)... and also doing the middle of the shift **** (also shown)
I need help though... I've been trying to find a DYI on how to remove the back inserts. Also is there's a way to separate the three parts of the shift ****? How do I remove the accents shown to get able to achieve a clean install?
PLEEEASE help me out... and the faster I find out how to, the faster I'll get it done and post pics of the finished project... thanks!!

Locksmith:
Hey, I'll have to figure out where I got it from, it's been awhile and I got it thru my family's factory to test it out with some of the wood products we make, to see if I could introduce it as accents to furniture... got shot down.
(so pm me if you really want their contact)
It not hard to work w it, but the best way to do it is to remove the part from the car, which sometimes can be a bitch as it was in the case of all the rings around the ac vents. Also, you need to have a second person to hold the blowdryer since it becomes a more flexible material with heat. But maybe I'm just too **** with details and perfection
I'll post pics of the finished result later on today if I get a pic of it while it's still sunny out. Only thing is that i'm using my iphone camera, so the dash comes out kinda yellowish and not the gray color it actually is, so it doens't look flow as well as in person

^ very nice, looks perfect. I'm sure it was a b1thc to get the thread all lined up. How long have you had it like that? I'm curious to know if this material will start peeling off over time
I just got this put on but the great thing about the 3M stuff is it is made for exterior as well. There is something like a 7 year warranty so if its made to withstand the elements, then it will last on the interior. It will not peel up as all the pieces are wrapped and tucked around the back side. I removed every single piece. THe black CF is the only one that looks close to the real thing. THe silver one does not give off enough contrast in the weave pattern. 3M makes at least 5 different CF colors.
