hoping your painted parts doesn't chip or crack and fade it's color when you leave your car under the sun.. iv'e seen some dyed leather seats and they cracked and peeled after awhile.. not worth it IMO.. but good luck anyways..

I've never actually seen a cb in person so not sure but that might be close, I've seen that in person with the cinnamon and it looked great.
Are you saying you've seen Laguna Seca Blue with red BMW interior?

If so, that's been swapped. They never offered the Laguna Seca M3s with Cinnamon interiors.

can't help you there as mine is broken, but it's two little plastic tabs that snap in at the bottom of the mirror, as for the rest i used a razor blade and traced around the original seam in the fabric to make a template with the new material

D.I.Y. For taking apart the sun visor! Doing this at 1 am please for give any spelling or grammer mistakes or if some steps sound like I'm being rather short with you. I'm tired but still helping 'cause you guys, the D.I.Y.er's your the best!

Usual disclaimer, You screw up, not my fault blah blah blah, I only try to help.

First go out to your car and find the sun visor! Easy, no?

Fold it down and on either side there is a mount, one is VERY easy,

Just pull, the other is still easy but not that easy. There is a small cover over 2 screws,

use a flat head and pry it off gently and from the very edge.

Now you see the 2 screws.

Remove these and don't drop them and don't let the mirror hang by the wire (DO AS I SAY, NOT AS I DO)

Wiggle it around and gently pull on the wire to expose the connector.

Disconnect this, repeat on other side and go inside.

Get a drink, you've earned it!

Now for actually taking it apart.

First step is to remove the plastic...thing here

There are 2 clips holding it on, insert screwdriver here

Those 2 clips should pop and then just wiggle it off the end, might get caught on fabric a little, not a big deal. You will be left with this.

Now for the hardest part I feel. Removing that plastic piece that slides out, There are 2 tabs that hold it in.

Bad pic, i know but it's the best view your going to get. Pull on the plastic piece and press the tabs and remove.

You'll now see this

Now we will be cutting off the old crappy fabric stuff.

Grab a nice sharp x-acto knife and go to town. You will see a seam around the entire edge of the visor, guess where you'll be cutting. Yepp, on that seam is your best bet.

Keep going until you have it all separated. You won't be able to remove it yet though.

You will see the white thing taped in, gently pull on it to remove but leave the tape attached to the white thing.

This is the secret step for not breaking the mirror. There are 2 clips right here

You'll push those and release the mirror assembly, almost.

The 2 wires need to be removed, use a small knife and gently but forcefully pull them off.

YAY! now you really earned a drink.

Now I won't be covering how to actually cover them in suede unless really requested to. That is a really easy part and is covered in other threads like the suede headliner ones. Same idea. I will however leave you with this one note. The green felt

I removed and re-glued that, I wouldn't trust the factory glue on that considering I could pull it off very easily.

And finally, a comparison shot.

The Right is sueded, the left is just painted black. No finished shots yet, still working.

thanks i figured the easiest way would be to remove the factory cloth first...didn't matter to me since my mirror was already broken before i even decided to change the color out, but it will definately help when i tackle the other mirror which is still intact
