Re: CLOCK

Thanks for posting the Bulliten with the 2 clocks side by side. I like the analog clock. Digital looks too cheap for a luxury car. I had my old clock replaced with the new one and it is a night and day difference. The new one is much better.

Re: CLOCK

You cannot see the first clock at night! Had mine replaced
the week I bought my G. There is a factory recall on it, since
no one can read it at night. The second one pictured is
easy to read and is illuminated well at night.

Re: CLOCK

I actually liked the look of the original clock as I thought it was classier with the thin hands. Too bad it was so hard to read, depending on the light.
It's interesting that it also had chrome hands which actually match the chrome surrounds on the new instrument panel better (2003.5). The new clock has a brushed metal finish that better matches our original brushed metal surrounds.

Re: CLOCK

I was one of the first to get the "new" clock and I still can't read it at night nor can anyone in my car. I wonder if they changed even more after I had it done last November (2002).

Re: CLOCK

Take it back! the new one can be read very easily at night
with the proper back lighting. There must be something
wrong with yours.

Re: CLOCK

Every person that sees my clock likes it, it works very well. I like it also and have no trouble telling time by it!

Re: CLOCK

I took my G in Friday for it's 30,000 and mentioned the clock again.
They put in "another" new one.

This time there really is a difference. The hands are bigger than my second clock and the bulb is brighter.

I can actually see the clock at night now.
