Re: CLOCK

Maybe once you put an aftermarket turbo into your G, you could convert it into a gauge..

Re: CLOCK

I am with others here. I think the analog clock is classy. It was one of the selling points for my wife as she likes it also. While yes it is harder to read than just glancing at a digital clock, It makes you stop for a bit and read the time.

I agree with the other posters comments on rolex watches. I have one also and it doesn't keep that accurate of time. And you have the roll the dates on months that are not 31 days. You have to think of it as a piece of jewelry that as a bonus tells time. What I think would be cool is a Rolex clock to fit in the stock location.

Re: CLOCK

I also kept my original clock - who cares what time it is at night? Also, the less those monkey technicians climb all over my car, the better.

Re: CLOCK

does anyone know what type of bulb shines on the clock? I want to replace it with a hyperwhite LED. I think that'll take care of any lighting problems. Or maybe a UV (blacklight)?? makin sh*t glow, yea. tight.

Re: CLOCK

I wish you could at least buy an after market Digital Clock. There are a lot of cool designs they can do now a days.

This whole digital vs analog thing that auto makers buy into is sort of strange. I can tell you from my exposure to that concept was discussed in design school. The had majors in Transportation, and this was a debated issue.

Basically, the auto/marketing guys felt that the sportier a car was, the more it should be analog. The more luxury, it should be digital. Of coarse almost all of my class mates felt it should be the other way around. If you are building a car for the future, it should have current technology.

I don’t see anyone arguing that we should have wooden wheels like the old days because they were hand made and more classy.

It just doesn’t make sense that grandma drives a car with digital heads up display. Then again, I could tell you the company behind that philosophy who sponsored the car project were from Ford. That should tell you a lot right there.
