Bulb for Door Panel Light?
Hey... I am installing the KP Window up module today or tmrw morning and will have my door panel off... Ive noticed the red light (Im assuming its supposed to light up) on the door is blown on my car.. the light so when your door is open in the road cars will see the lights so they dont hit your open door. I looked through the manual but dont see what kind of bulb this takes... anyone know? Ill find out when I get the door panel off but was hoping to save a second trip to the auto store and hoping to pick it up before I beging popping off the door panel...
Thanks..
Chris

no I didn't do a full on write up, I did post this in the Hawaii section about a month ago.
Yeah they are resistors to drop down the voltage. white LEDs take around 3.2-3.4 volts. I have each LED wired with it's own resistor which works better. I tried installing the LEDS in series in the past with only a single resistor but they usually end up failing after a few months. It's pretty technical, but there's a reason why this happens. If you want an explantion of why series LEDs don't last I can explain but it's a little lengthy.
