foglight rewire.????

Hi everyone, i just recently purchased an 06 coupe 6mt.I must say,it is one hell of a car and do not regret it at all.!
I have a question about the foglights? Can i rewire them to the factory switch that is already placed on the arm or do i need to tap into the corner light for power? I just recently purchased some philips hid's to replace the factory h1's.Any help would be appreciated as i am new to the forum and dont know too much about the car just yet.! I would love to be able to just turn the foglight to on and the hid's come on.Thank you guys again and let me know what you think.!

Hmm maybe you can tap power from the parking light or side markers, I would verify the voltage running through there though because it may not be enough to power your HIDs. Then that would turn your fogs on from the factory switch... along with your parking lights and side markers.

I'm thinking about doing the same but haven't found any fogs yet to add on.

might be safer to run a relay and use the power from stock foglight as a switch.

If you tap power from the parking lights, the OEM switch won't operate the fogs. They would come on whenever the parking lights are on. I would use a relay and reroute the 12V+ from the OEM fogs to one side of the relay coil.
