Just thought I show some prelim pics of my taillight mods. Should be finished in the next few weeks. I wanted to see what anyone thought.

It's a little harsh to look at. Very unique I'll easily give you that. However, maybe the final product will give us a better understanding as to why you opted for this route? Interesting.. not hideous, interesting. Good luck with the final product. Keep us updated, PLEASE lol.

Yes that is primer and I am finishing up the LED system. The paint will match the body with the recesses matching the seconday color of my car. You can see that color in the difusser. It is something different than the typical overlays and more closely matches the rear lighting of the new GTR. I'm also in the process of creating the actual tailight lenses which will look similar to the older GTR's.

Oh $hit! I just noticed the Infiniti Emblem... just a reflector? or it lights up with brakes?

More details on what you are doing with the lenses. Excellent work so far! Just photoshop that fly out of the picture. LOL!

Ahh so you caught that did you Well after months of reading the list and hearing people bitch about using the 350 GT emblems or GTR or whatever, I decided to create my own emblems. That is the Mt Fugi eblem which was then scupted with a red acrylic and poured then polished. I had a few other prototypes which have a refective coating under the red inlay as well as a front emblem. I decieded not to light it because I wanted something more subtle. I'm carrying my new enblems thru out the car and the wheels.

I like what you have done do far.

What you are seeing this the housings w/o the lenses installed. I am creating the lenses from scratch combining the new GTR taillight design with the older GTR lense design.

Ah! I thought you would cover all that with a clear lens. That would look nice. Put the red reflectors at the bottom by the defuser.

I can see it, it would look dope with a clear lense over it and painted body color to match. I'd be in line for that.
