I try to use the dimmest light possible for my license plate frame.... just in case.

Dude that is freaking awesome that you used my DIY to create your own set. Makes all the effort I put into doing it worth it. Unfortunately, it looks like my DIY is now gone since they moved to the new forum structure. Anyways, mine have been going strong for over a year now (Winter/Weekend drives to pot hole ridden NYC) so they are very durable!

Thank you for posting that DIY. It was well written up and easy to follow. I certainly didn't think it would take as long to complete the project as it seems, but everything went rather smoothly.

The only thing I may point out is that you can only mount the circuit car so far forward in the housing before the leds interfere with the lens sealing up with the housing.

Other than that, it's a great mod!

Pete you're my idol, please post the DIY up again. You're a genius. These led's look so clean/professional. Where do i find the bulbs i can't find them anymore on superbrightleds.com?? Please contact me with more info...

Personally, I think digikey is a great place to get the LED's. I used Lite-On LED's, worked out great. Now if it would only get warmer so I could finally splice that blinker wire in...
