I'm using a set of 85122+ and they are definetly not 5000k, they are yellowish, just like the stock bulbs, I think my stock bulbs may also be 85122+, its just a newer version of the 85122, which doesn't color shift as much

Yes, you'd think a site as big as HIDplanet.com would get the specs right, and even after some long time members pointed it out, they still haven't revised their listings, its pretty confusing in general

More to add to the confusion, in this thread, someone asks philips at the tokyo motor show.
Here are questions and answers at Philips booth at 2005 Tokyo motor show.

Q: What is difference between 85122 and 85122+?
A: There is no actual difference, just distinguished by production date.

Q: Have you ever sold 5000K as 85122+?
A: No, 5000K bulb is 85122CM or CX (for Japanese market) in the past and present.

Q: Is there possibility that certain Lots of 85122+ were manufactured as 5000K for specific market?
A: Never, and the product numbers are common throughout the world.

In fact, I have 4 new 85122+, they all are yellowish than used (less than 100 hours) 85122

I can tell you my 85122+ are very yellow, and aren't even close to other 5000k bulbs I've seen so I pretty sure they are 4200k. I bought a set of spare OEM g35 projectors with OEM bulbs and ballast and they were 85122+ and came stock, so unless infiniti is including 5000k bulbs stock, I doubt they are 5000k. The auto lighting faq also states they are aftermarket only, when they came stock on my projectors, so they are wrong there already, so why couldn't they be wrong on the color also?

So the entire general population of HID community has it wrong...

Not everyone, read through that latest thread I posted, and alot of people are straightening things out. Even HIDplanet admits to the confusion on page 2

I thought the ultinon 6000k's were bad enough already. How much more light can you sacrifice for color? They already are 25% dimmer than stock
