06 headlight 8k vs. 6k

I had Piaa 6600k's in my G35 and it looked nice...but overall I don't think the 06 projectors give great output at all. I would keep stock bulbs but 6000k+ does look cool...

^stock 06 projectors are pretty weak yeah...

i just got 8k 50whid installed on my high beams , and changed the original d2r to 10k and its crazy , the 50w set is so much brighter then the 35w , but i got a 2005

Man, the pre 06 headlights look like crap.

for me. went back to OEM's

You should be happy that you chose performance over looks, it was the right move

define "good", to some, good means purple color, while to others, good means light output. The 06 projectors are good in producing a pretty sharp cutoff and having alot of output, but have almost no color to them or flicker because of the fresnel lense.

06 Projector output is mediocre compare to some other projectors on the market...

Brighter...not really, more focused. So it seems brighter.

you guys are making my projectors feel like crap i still like them no matter what! rather have projectors than the reflectors.. no offense guys

D2R's have the coating which cuts down on output quite a bit I thought, at least thats the conclusion I've come to from pouring over hidplanet threads, but you are the resident guru when it comes to lighting so I may be wrong on this one
