06 headlights

Hey all, i have a question regarding headlights. My boss has a 06 Coupe. He got nailed in the passenger side and they replaced the hole housing. However, it doesnt look to have the projectors anymore. Could it be they messed up with housing to put in? The headlights look like mine(03 coupe), not like the projectors i thought i saw in it earlier. It is on lease, and has 2 months left, and want to let him know before he gets slammed with a big bill. Hopefully i can get these new housings too.... If anyone has any pics of the 06 headlights, or any info as to why it would be different, i would GREATLY appreciate it! Thanks in advance.

Easiest way to tell is if the housing is silver chrome or more champaign colored. Chances are they replace a old housing for the new car to save money. And if they dont match...its obvious.

aahhh, there you are! I was going to pm you, but i figured id ask first. Dont all 06 coupes come with projectors though? THats what confuses me, why would they change out the headlight to a lower model, and still be ok in turning the car back? WOuldnt that be a charge?

All of the 06's have projectors, if the one they put in doesnt then go back and tell them to change it. Do you have a pic of his front end, want to see what it looks like. Some people are soo effin dumb, I dont even know how they can get a job working with cars.

depends on who fixed it. they were trying to cheat your boss on something that I thought was pretty obviously different. The old one is much cheaper than the new one to get.

so wait, they only changed one headlight correct? does it match the other light on the car? the top half should have a projector...if it doesn't and one side now has a clearance strip, then you got screwed.

Yea, see....thats my dilemma. The headlights look EXACTLY the same as mine. However, i have an 03, and he has an 06. I REALLY thought he had projectors in there before they changed it. He only hit one side, so the other one wouldnt have had to been changed. UNLESS, they changed both, kept one for them and sold it for parts, and ordered two older versions. I am going to take pictures of it tomorrow, its one of his 5 cars, so i hope he brings it. He gets mad sometimes because i have one, and im 23 working FOR him, and he owns the company. haha But like i said, ill take pics, and see what you guys say. I mentioned it to the other owner, but he could care less and is kinda dumb. If anyone had any pics, i would appreciate that, it would be easier to point out and show him.

I dont doubt what your saying at all. The "roll eyes" was because
a body shop can get into alot of trouble for swapping out parts
for a profit

And no prob on the pic

take some pictures of your boss', i wana see it, if im reading this thread correctly, they put an older headlight on one side and they kept the stock headlight on the driver side, so you should have to completely different headlights.

edit: oh didnt read posting date, he might have given the car back already.
