Projected on a patterned wall, about 0.5m distance. Again, the 4500K is a very good color match for the stock Xenon bulbs.

Re: Matching fogs to HID color
This one compares stock to 4500K side to side. As you look more directly into the beam, there is a noticeable blueish tint.

Re: Matching fogs to HID color
Hey guys, for anyone that wanted to know where I got the Mtek 4350K H4's. Check out www.apexsupra.com The owner Kwan told me he can ship out of state. It is a local shop here in Tucson Ariz and this guy has one of the most tricked out Supras I have personally ever seen. He hits 1/4 in just above 11 I think he was saying, and 60 in about 4 something. I have one of the only G35's he has worked on, he put my CAI in and my grounding kit. He does have exp in the Z's tho so that gives him inderect exp on the G. I will probably have him do my exhaust also. Anyway, send him a email and I know he will get back to you. Tell him you talked to Art and he will know where you are comming from.
Good luck in you search, I have not even done a on line search for Mtek's so I couldn't help you there.
Oh and Shader7 I like those alot, I kinda like the blueish hugh those give off. Just get you crearance lights to mach that and it iwll look trip. The Mtek 4350K give off a slight blue hugh at certain angels as well and I think it looks a bit europian.
Take care.

Re: Matching fogs to HID color
Yea, the blue looks attractive, but I worry about the legality of blue lights. Any shade of blue is a big no-no everywhere in the U.S., and I prefer not to provide an excuse to get stopped. Not every officer does this, but I know several that will stop equipment-violaters (bad tags, over tinted, or other nominal infractions), just to see if the car or driver has any significant violations outstanding.
Afro said those seriously-blue corner markers were taken out right away (good choice). I'll see how these go; maybe I'll change them out to the 4100K versions later on. I'll take and post some night pics tonight, as well as some shots of the high-beams.
See you later.

Re: Matching fogs to HID color
OK, here's a stack of the final conversion. Driving around I only noticed a slight blueish hue on white objects with the highbeams on. On the ground it appears the same color as the Xe bulbs. With just the fogs on, I didn't notice any blue hues. They stilll look blueish from the front though; I'll probably change them out for the 4100Ks soon.

Re: Matching fogs to HID color
WOW thanks to everyone for the great feedback and photos (I should of mentioned right from the get go the size is H4 - aka 9003).
So it appears the low to mid 4000K range is a great match for the HID's. The MTEC's look real good and come in about 1/3 the price of the PIAA's, I just hope they hold up well, plus I like the stock wattage. I've run 90/100 bulbs before, but they require an upgraded harness, and even with that the bulbs will burn the socket if the connection is not perfect. Also I've seen Nokia's in this price range, does anyone have experience in how these different bands hold up?. Is three times the cost worth it fopr PIAA's or other "permium" brands? Autospeedy.com has the MTEC's on sale for 33 bucks shipping included, which is only about 10 bucks more than stock bulb replacement!

Re: Matching fogs to HID color
I think the 4100K bulbs look good - not much blue based on the images. Can I ask where you found your bulbs? Also, when purchasing bulbs, is there anything I need to keep in mind because the bulb has double duty as both the fog light and high beam? Thanks in advance for your help.
