Their factory bulbs with the PIAA Super Cobalt 6600K DSR bulbs?

that must be a no most like myself would spend the 200-300 on projector retro fit instead of bulbs!

I would search in the lighting section. I know Ed Lin has them on his with the TL projectors but don't know about anyone who has them with their reflector housings.

What modifications need to be done to a D2R bulb to get equal light output as a D2S in a projector? I'm just curious...

The D2R bulbs have band on them that reduces glare, while the D2S do not. You can try removing that band, but I dont think that's a good idea. Another example is 9005 and 9006 bulbs. The 9006 bulbs have a glare sheild on the tip, while the 9005 does not.
