look behind the headlight housing, grab an 8mm (or was it 10mm?), adjust accordingly. try not to blind people...

don't just go and adjust the beams up to get better lighting, that will blind people if done incorrectly. Make sure your low beams are actually pointed too low before you do anything. An upgrade to revised 06 headlights would be a great improvement though

Hmm... maybe your headlights are messed up in some way(fogged lenses, etc)?. My '04 regular headlights are just OK... but the high beams are pretty bright.

I've noticed that my lights have gotten dimmer though with time(either that or I've just gotten really used to them). When I first got my car, it made the headlights on my Tacoma(my other vehicle that I split time driving) seem almost insignificant. Now that I've had my G35 for 3 years, it seems like the Tacoma headlights aren't that bad in comparison to the G35.

I know for a fact that headlights do dim with age, just not sure how much Halogens dim compared to conventional headlights... so maybe new Halogen bulbs would help bring them back to their original luster. I think they're pretty expensive for our cars though.

I'd also recommend waxing your headlights too.. it seems to help them from fogging and also prevents dirt and bugs from sticking to them as much, thus allowing more light to pass through in most situations. I use Meguiars NXT Tech wax on my whole car, and it really works wonders(even on the exterior glass).

just looked at your sig, and its the 6k bulbs for sure, go back to stock and you'll get the 25+% of the light you lost back. Amazing! This is why I hate high kelvin bulbs with a pashion

you were sadly misinformed, with 6k ultinons, the lumen output is ~2400, while stock is ~3200 so you lost at least 25% of your useable light, and are alomst on the level of halogens.

redlude - correct me if i'm wrong. but i believe this is what you want to use to adjust, if you still plan to do so. there is a chance that your headlights are adjsuted lower than normal. it's more than likely that you are getting less light soley because of the 6000k bulbs, but it's possible that they are aimed too low...

i have projectors, so i'm not sure if the back of your housings look the same.

yes, but I see no reason for his headlights to be aimed too low unless he did it himself, in which case he would know how to adjust them back up. I'll put money on it that its the bulbs though

well, my new 06 (post recall) lights are aimed a bit high...which kinda defeats the purpose of the recall - that is, according to my friends who said they were blinded (driving on the opposite side of the road. they never complained prior to the recall...). so i gotta aim the back down a bit.

whatever, my headlights aren't cloudy anymore.

the headlight recall campaign overall was poorly executed. The dealerships installing them didn't have the proper training/techs to do the installs properly, which resulted in a bunch of shoddy installs. Mine weren't aligned straight at all, and I had to spend an extra 3 hours getting them perfect again. Any time the headlight is removed from the car, there is going to need to be some adjustment and nudging to get the headlights centered and with the correct leveling, something I doubt the dealerships were willing to do. I'll bet they didn't even do a beam alignment and just swapped them out for the new ones, but thats a whole other matter
