its pricey but nothing else like it!!
Man - those do look slick on your car and work well with your bolted rim wheels.

I bought a pair of recalled headlights yesterday. 299 shipped off of ebay.
Thanks, thats what I was estimating after doing a search on completed eBay auctions for late model lights. BTW, I got this email from a guy that has the set in Dallas CL for $500. How true is all this?? Bear in mind his set includes, bulbs, ballasts, and ignitors?

"These headlights are at least $1000 at the dealership. I can take off the ballasts and igniters, mount em on 07-08 Acura MDX headlights and sell each for at least 450.00, or mount them on 07-08 G35 or M35/45 and sell each for 400.00 . These lights go for 4-500 a pair on ebay w/o the HID components."

I offered him $300 without ballasts; I thought that was fair but he didn't.

I'm comfortable buying used and I only have budgeted $300 for this upgrade.

it doesnt matter what style headlights you get, its the bulbs that matter, but imo the projectors are definitely better looking than the Reflectors (03-05)

completely false. projectors will have better light distribution in just about every case

true, i agree they have better light distribution, but if you run different temp bulbs, reflectors can be brighter..

I'm in the same boat - the later model projector assembly will use your old ballasts but require the use of the different D2S HID bulb. A lot of sellers will include bulbs with the headlight assemblies but usually no ballasts.

I'm a newbie here too but maybe someone can confirm?

you already have the ballasts, just get projector lights and swap it over.

I'm handy installing CCFL's, I put a set in my 3-series last year. What's the main difference in using the sedan CCFL kit on 05-06 coupe projector style lights?

thats pretty substantial. I am still shopping for projector headlamp assemblies, would anyone know the correct diameters needed for the coupe projectors?
